Power station is an important composition of a ship. Emergency generator is an importance guarantee for sailing safety. In order to bring up the persons who are accord to the STCW78/95 pact, this thesis has designed a automatic control device of ship emergency generating set for demonstration teaching, using advanced industrial control technology, computer technology. It will make the students, who are major in maritime engineering, know the automatic control equipment of ship emergency generator deeply.Slave computer which is cored by 89C51 single chip microcomputer, has data detection and control function. Master computer is used PC. Using graphical user interface technology, it has data capture, display, recording function. The emulational design about the working principle in the interface has demonstration teaching function. It can detect I/O port and the veracity of alarm and protection conveniently combining with rheostats, switches and relays that especially placed on the circuit board. The students can easily understand and master the principle and function of emergency generator's automatic control system. Slave computer and master computer connected by serial communication for data changing. The system can work together with other system in the ship to realize shipping automation.Not only in summary but also in brief, the thesis introduced the constitution and design of hardware and software about the automatic control device of ship emergency generating set for demonstration teaching including both collectivity design and idiographic realization. It serves valuable experience to the design of relevant experiment.
