| The "JINGDUN" 120 passengers wave-piercing hydrofoil is one kind of new high-quality ship developed lately in China, it is also the first hydrofoil with a catamaran form made in China. This new ship form of wave piercing hydrofoil is composed of the catamaran form, the hydrofoil form and the deep "V" form. Because this ship form is totally new, its structure and external loads are also comparatively complicated, so the direct strength calculation of this kind of ship is a new research field.Based on the finite element method, the direct ship strength calculation is superior to the traditional ship beam theory. With the method of direct calculation, the finite element modal of the ship is built up, and the stress state through the whole ship will be calculated out.This dissertation begins with the research status of wave piercing hydrofoil, then it analyzes the structure character as well as the ship performance in details. It also gives a clear description to the load states and how to calculate the different loads according to different states. In the second chapter, this paper gives an introduction to the finite element method. In the third chapter, the finite element model of the ship is built up and meshed by using of the software ANSYS, then in the fourth chapter, with the reasonable boundary condition, the ship model is loaded with forces and moments according to the different states, and later the overall strength and the local strength are calculated out. In the end, comparing with the strength standard, it would be clear that if the ship strength is enough or not. And the result will sure do some benefits to the later design of the same ship form. |
