After the research of the task, a scientific and high efficiency computer analysis system with friendly interface was provided for the dam safety. It can be used to bring forward advise for interrelated department at the dam design period and reservoir regulation of flood season's. The research put emphases on the routine work of the dam safety department; aim to make the work be automatic, network and analysis and decision be scientific. The developing of system is accordant with the criterions. Integrated with practical project, the system was tested. The results show that the function modules of the analysis system can meet the demand of practical project. After the comparison of the analysis result between the system and practical project, the system can achieve relatively higher precision and efficiency by using the Database technology in information management and by adopting the optimizing idea.The main parts of the research followed as: combine various technologies, including data-transmission and information sharing by network, database, graphics and image management, software development theories and methods of information system, to be in the dam flood control safety monitor, integrated with the characteristic of the dam safety monitor field and related theory, make use of the object- oriented programming tools to develop the function module.The production can be used as a high efficient aided decision-making to construction of water resources and hydroelectric project and reservoir regulating. The system's function including automatic classified management of the observation data, data query and data recall, dynamic input and update, data statistical analysis, automatic making and output of varies graphics and report forms .The interface of system is friendly, and the information expressed by the system is clarity and convenient for read, it can meet the requirement of the design and safety operation. The paper consist of the following parts:(1) Summarize the purpose and significance of the task; bring the brief introduction of the developing situation about the dam safety analysis system from home and abroad.(2) Discuss the theory and the truss of data collection system of hydrologic information and the integration of software and hardware of the system and its component's function.(3) Based on the in-depth understanding the theory of computer network, research about how to realize the issue and sharing the safely monitoring information both on Intranet and Internet, was carried out. Solution was brought forward about how to issue and sharing in the framework of Intranet.(4) The developing methods of information system were carried out based on the Database technology and database interface of developing software-Visual Basic 6.0. A proposal that the dam safety analysis system should be separated into several modules was put forward, so the developing complexity of the system will drop down and the extending ability will be enhanced. The theory, arithmetic and programming point of modules were researched, stressed on the program module of realization of transverse graduation of hydrology "frequency grid"; the automatic making and drawing of hydrologic frequency curve; automatic conjecture the typical flood process curveaccording to the hydrology data; make the flood routing according to the analysis result of created Database.Illustrate the Man Wan hydropower station and ZhaoJiaLongTan reservoir dam as example, use the first-hand hydrology data and dam parameters as the input parameter, analyzing the design flood curve automatically, implementing routing then making a conclusion that: whether the dam can meet the flood control standards or not under a certain design standard. Compared the result with the traditional ones, the output show that the analysis system can achieve higher computing precision and efficiency and also approve the practical value of it.
