The stone-throwing machine is a type of mechanical equipment mainly used to throw foundation stones to the bottom of the dam in flood prevention. This type of equipment is developing at starting in domestic development and the technology level is relatively low. The exiting equipments generally have some shortcomings: low arrival rate, high labor intensity and danger and so on, which cause the foundation stones not to be refilled correctly and usually make the danger happen.With the idea of integration of mechanics, electronics and hydraumatic, integrated manufacturing system and intelligent technology, the new-type high-efficiency stone-throwing machine is accomplished in this thesis on the base of analysis of dam structure, and the shortcomings of the current equipments.The flow that lies 1 meter beneath the foundation stone platform is up to 1000 m~3/s, which scours the foundation stones seriously and makes them easy to go astray. So the location of the foundation stone missing is about 11 meters far away from the dam.Applying the computation physics optimizes the curve of stone sliding, and the ideal curve: a connection of one section of cycloid and two sections of lines is established by simplifying the model. The result shows that the speed of ending of cycloid is improved by 36.5% compared with the line. A simulation experiment is carried out in laboratory to verify the correctness of theoretical analysis. Based on the curve obtained from the theoretical analysis, the structures and the hydraulic system are designed. The rationality of the structural design is proved by a simulation performance with MSC Dynamic Designer Motion professional for Solid Edge.The stability analysis of static and dynamic state of the whole mechanism is conducted to estimate the equipment, which can ensure the safe and stability of operation of the equipment. The practical experiment is carried out to show 80% of the distances of the stones are near 11 meters, which wins the design object. The road examination is performed to prove the safe of the stone-throwing machine in differentconditions. The testing value is smaller than the theoretical because of the deformation of the structures.According to the advantages of Qiansilong-stones protecting the dam, with the ideas of stone-throwing machine design, the lifting mechanism was designed and simulated, which can supply a good way to design the Qiansilong-stones tools.The stone-throwing machine with mechanization and high efficiency can solve the shortcomings of the current tools with low arrival rate and low automation and has good mobility and flexibility which can improve the mechanization and automation, alleviate people's labor intensity, increase the efficiency and reliability, and have notable economic returns.
