Being an important component in aircraft pneumatic, the regulator will directly influence the rocket system. Especially the dynamic characteristic of regulator is an important factor to appraise the capabilities of regulator. Nowadays, the problem of dynamic characteristic of regulator is not raveled out property by the entire world. The theory research on this field is almost blank in our country. The regulator ceases to be effective caused by the oscillation at the time of startup result in some launch experiments' failureIn this thesis, based on a certain gas-regulator used in a cold gas system to stance control, the research about dynamic characteristic of regulator is developed. At first, we established the mathematical model and turned it into the Simulink model by using the theories of gas dynamics, auto-control and valve design. After compared with the results of experimentations and simulations, we found the error is about 2%~5%, so the rationality and the feasibility of the model were validated. By linearized the nonlinear model at a steady work point, we gained the linear model and drew a conclusion from the result of MATLAB program that the dynamic characteristic of the regulator is steady. A new method to judge the stability of regulator is provided.Furthermore, by using Simulink model we mode an effect analysis in the area of frequency and time of the stability when one of the five parameters changed, which including viscosity factors , cubage and so on. After that, we drew a conclusion and showed the result of simulation that the cubage of the exit is smaller than what it need, and it would leveled off by increasing the cubage of the pipe after the regulator.At last, aimed at the actuality that there are no optimal ways to design regulator for our rockets, we attempted the optimization of the parameters, and give the result of it, by appending a NCD(Nonlinear Control Design) module in the model. This work makes a good step toward the future work.By modeling and simulation, this paper gives a new ways and methods to resolve the problem and develop the new products for our rockets.
