This paper presents a study on static and dynamic characteristics of a liquid pressure regulator for a LRE.First of all, the principle of the regulator is introduced. The force of the regulator is analyzed in detail, then, the static mathematic mode of the little flow regulator is built up, and its open pressure characteristics are simulated. Compared with the results of flow experiment, the ones of static simulation are in essential agreement with the experimental data, which show that the steady characteristic of the pressure regulator is satisfactory.Secondly, on the principle of concentrated parameter and the condition of low frequency, a non-linear dynamic mathematical model of the pressure regulator is established and verified, and then the characteristics of the step response and amplitude-frequency response are simulated and analyzed. The results show that the dynamic characteristic of the regulator is also satisfactory.Lastly, on the basis of the static and dynamic mathematic mode of the regulator, the impact of structural parameters of pressure regulator on its performance is analyzed, which could be used as a reference to optimize the structure of the regulator.
