Study On Application Of Fieldbus In Flexible Maunfacturing System

Nowadays fieldbus is one of the most important information technologies (IT) and is regarded as the computer LAN in the field of automation. The appearance of fieldbus caused a profound revolution in the field of automation and influenced the future of many corresponding fields, especially in the field of manufacturing. For this reason, to carry out the study of fieldbus has important practical significance for impelling the development of the fieldbus and investigating corresponding products.In the paper, firstly analyzed the present state of domestic PROFIBUS research. And put forward the blue print that applied the fieldbus into the FMS, which based on the research of the defects lie in the traditional FMS. Through studying the technology of PROFIBUS, making use of the ASIC SPC3 that produced by SIEMENS in Germany, to develop the intelligence PROFIBUS-DP slave station and design the hardware and the software of the salve station, also edited the GSD files. Finally the developed slave station have the basic function such as DI/DO, number displaying, key-press and communication with the master stations; Secondly reconstructed the FMS-50 and built the FMC which including the numerical control machine and robot hands in the Engineering Training Center. Finally, built the test platform to test the developed intelligence slave station. The platform included the first kind master station (PLC S7-300), the second kind master station (PC) and the developed slave station.Through the study, we can draw a conclusion that applying the fieldbus into the FMS can bring into play the strongpoint of the fieldbus, overcome the defects of the traditional FMS and have a active pole to the reform and increase of the FMT (flexible manufacturing technology). At the same time, the fieldbus is being applied in all kinds of fields as a newer control technology. The PROFIBUS is one of the influential fieldbuses in the world, moreover the SIEMENS industry control products always have possessed the majority of the marketing, so study on the application of fieldbus in FMS have the important practice meaning.
