Distribution transformer is important electric power equipment in the distribution network, which operation data is important in electric power system automation. With the deep development of the automatization of the distribution system in our country, the data collection and monitor of the distribution transformer has been the one of the most important part of distribution automatization. The selection of appropriate communication mode between the terminal of distribution transformer data acquisition and the monitor center based on the distribution characteristics of the distribution transformer in the distribution network is the key problem to realize the overall management and monitor of the distribution transformer. In recent years, with the mature of the GPRS mobile communication technology, it's impossible to apply it to power SCADA field. This task develops a long-distance data acquisition and monition system of low-voltage distribution transformer based on the GPRS technology.In this paper, design idea and functions of the full system are introduced, based on which, the system structure and the scheme realization are analyzed and studied deeply. Joining GPRS and Internet network together, the communication method is put forward with the dynamical resolve of domain name.In order to realize distance communication, the selection and design of communication protocol is important. Considering the requirement and characteristics of the system, the transmission lay protocol of TCP/IP communication protocol is analyzed and compared deeply from TCP and UDP protocol, the UDP protocol is selected. The application lay protocol of the system is designed by using binary system, which introduced responsionmethod to make the reliability of the system.The H7118C GPRS with advanced technology and complete function is adopted as the terminal of the long-distance communication of the system, which guarantees the performance of the system.The monitor center is a monitor program with graph interface based on Windows flat to realize the electron map, data monitor functions and database management by using SQL language.The system has abundant functions and has many merits, such as convenient operation, low cost, convenient to setup and maintenance, easy to development and extend.
