Study On Influence Of Urban Traffic By Parking Charge Policy

As one of the most important parts of urban traffic system, our country's parking facilities have many problems, which have seriously impact urban traffic. This paper analyzes our public parking charging and pricing in terms of the compensation of external costs from the traffic jams and social cost for parking, the mechanism and result reducing traffic volume and congestion . It studies the impact, which is made by the raise of car cost by parking pricing increase, of car purchases and traffic volume distribution. After the theoretical study, the quantitative analysis is spread from data of ShenZhen City.
