The master plan on reclaimed wastewater reuse in urban area is proposed with respect to serious shortage of water in Beijing. The paper composes of eight chapters. Serious water problems in China cities, research retrospect, and problems on present wastewater reclamation and reuse is outlined in the first chapter. The feasibility research of reclaimed wastewater reuses to agriculture, industry, river and civicism is carried out in third chapter, and the reuse potentials in different industries is evaluated in chapter four. In chapter five and six, projects plan in urban and suburb area of Beijing for different reuse in is drawed out, up to 2008, and 85% of wastewater treatment ratio and reuse ratio of 50% will be achieved. 0.74 billion m3 will be reused with 0.4 billion m3 to rural area for irrigation, and 66, 700 hm2 will be constructed, and the wastewater reclamation system will be establish in Beijing urban area. In chapter seven, the total water saving potential is 0.64 billion m3 of freshwater, ecologic profit of the plan is to save 0.06 million US dollar. And countermeasure and strategies is also proposed in the seventh chapter to ensure the plan will be launched efficiently and safely.
