| At present, "urbanization" is on the new period of fast development in ourcountry. Construction of urban town residence throughout the whole country is alsoon process, but there are a series of problems. Firstly this paper presents theconstruction status of urban town in China and points out the problems. And basedon the result of survey in cold climate areas, the paper summarizes and analyses theenergy and resource consumption in those areas by comparing with theenergy-saving regulation. The paper also explores how to reduce energyconsumption in cold climate areas and how to realize comfort and ecology in urbantown housing through macro policy and energy-efficient design in single buildings. The paper discusses the difference between urban housing and small townshousing on several aspects as forms, behaviors, heat supply system, buildingmaterials and energy and resources with an aim to find out how to design in urbantown housing. The paper then addresses the issues of design with nature, the controlof the modulus and periphery design. By quantifying the effect on energy consumingof elements of the periphery (walls, windows & doors and roofs) the paper presents aseries of methods for energy-efficiency design in urban town residence. At last the paper demonstrates an energy-efficient design of a house with thestrategies and methods mentioned above and contrasts the energy consumptionbefore and after redesign. The paper evaluates the benefits of energy-efficient designand the method to realize low-energy consumption strategy. |
