| Gabled frame is a typical light-weighted steel structure, broadly usedin china. Some steel structure buildings with light panel systems exceedin crane tonnage restricted by CECS102:2002. In this paper, based on therelative cases at home and abroad, the design and analysis of a portalframe with 25-ton double beams crane is investigated by incorporatingthe light-weighted steel structure code and the steel structure code, whichcan be as reference for the design and application of a portal framestructures with heavy cranes. Finally, the relation between the capabilityof crane and column spacing is also analyzed and many helpfulconclusions are given.
