Simulation And Investigation Of Marine Diesel Engine Based On Personal Computer

With the rapid development of information technology and the wide use of computer, the application of Computer Simulation is increasingly popular. Marine Engine Simulator is a typical example of Computer Simulation in the field of navigation, and has become an important way to train and examine most sailors. The main engine system of the ship is one kernel part of Marine Engine Simulator.In this paper, The Wartsila8L38B diesel engine being taken as an example, which has been used in the ship of "Sea Cruising 31". The 8L38 diesel engine is a new product made by Wartsila Company and it is a four stroke exhaust gas turbocharger pressurizing marine medium speed diesel engine. In this paper, the mathematical model of in-cylinder working process is deduced according to in-cylinder working characteristic of four-stroke direct injection diesel engine. On basis of the mathematical model, first time the author has built a zero-dimension simulation model of diesel engine based on software which proves that the model is accurate and that using software Simulink modeling and simulation is valid in diesel engine.The developing process of the simulation software EMSimulator can be described as following: Firstly, utilize the Objected-Oriented Technique to categorize the main engine system into many child objects to achieve certain functions, and compile every object to a class in the programming language Visual C#. These classes are not visual from the outside, and they exchange data and function only through the outer joints. Next, in the environment of Microsoft Visual C#. Net, with the help of many kinds of graph making tools, form a lot of simulation interfaces which can ensure some functions about simulation operating and displaying.
