Investigation On The Means Of Backwash With Fibrous Bundle Media

This paper review systematically the development of filtration and backwash technique of filter. Some experiments on air scour and water backwash of fibrous bundle media. Respective experiments on the backwash effect of the manner of air offering and filtration media filling. Aim at the own characteristic of the root of fibrous bundle media is hard to be washed, proposal ultrasonic assistant wash. Some experiments and analyses on the feasibility of ultrasonic wash apply on the wash of fibrous bundle media. Obtain some conclusion as follows:1. The average contain of clay is 4.2186g/kg after pulse manner backwash, and the root of fibrous bundle media is 11.9192g/kg. After common manner backwash the average contain of clay is 7.1168g/kg, and the root of fibrous bundle is 13.9574g/kg.2. The average contain of clay of bisection filter layer after common manner backwash is 5.7966g/kg, and the root of fibrous bundle is 2.0232g/kg, so bisection filter layer greatly improve the backwash effet of the root of fibrous bundle.3. The average contain of clay of five section filter layer after common manner backwash is 3.1444g/kg, but the root media is 9.4397g/kg, so five section filter layer greatly improved the average effect, but weaken the root effect.4. Compared subsection fibrous bundle with one section fibrous bundle, subsection fibrous bundle can quickly form ideal fiter bed, one section fibrous bundle is hard to form bed. Bisection filter layer at initial stages of filtration the compression ratio of below media is 50%, and the top media is 10%. Five section filter layer at the initial of filtraion the compression ratio is 46%, and at the end of filtration is 50%.5. The ultrasonic assistant wash is effectively and quickly. Wash time is 1.5min, the contain of clay 1.3856-1.5316g/kg after wash, it is feasible that apply ultrasonic assistant wash on improving the washing effect of root media.
