This paper is part of transverse project—Power distribution automation master station application system based on GIS. Ultimate research objective is to develop GIS based part of senior function modules of distribution automation system—Power flow calculation, Short-circuit current computation and network loss calculation . The main contributions as follows:First, by taking SuperMap Objects as developing platform and combining GIS component and the senior programming language, Visual C#, Power distribution GIS is developed. It not only realizes the basic functions of traditional GIS, but also take SCADA as connection and realize the real-time refreshment of the database.Sencond, aimed at the shortcommings, such as little done for distribution network topology analysis especially after breakdown restoration, traditional topology analysis algorithm occupy the memory too much and can't meet the demmand for real-time. According to the characteristics of the database structure, the paper redifmes the rule of node formation and combines DFS and BFS form a new topology analysis algorithm. Through merges some nodes and confirms the work state of Breakers, It makes the topology results more practically, decreases the requirement of memory and realizes the real-time topology analysis for distribution network.Third, to remedy the shortcoming of the insufficent number of measuring points and make full use of the data passed by FTU, the section FTU based power distribution is adopted to confirm the power of load point. Meanwhile, section FTU based algorithm is also used to power flow calculation and network loss calculation. Finally, on the basis of real-time topology analysis and improved load power conformation, power flow calculation module, short-circuit calculation module and network loss calculaiton module are developed.
