The Priminary Exploration Of Small Town's Urban Design

Along with the quickening of the urbanization process, our country's urbanization has entered a high-speed period. Drawing lessons from the developing countries which has appeared excessive urbanization because of the high rise of population, which has resulted in the sharp increase of the number of cities, our country searched for the special way of urbanization according with Chinese feature and situation , regarded it as the important tactics to promote the rural economy to be all-rounded development by leading and strengthening the construction of small town.In the process of small town's development ,the type of " from bottom to top " , is the one with Chinese feature. In china, small town has special significance in urbanization's development and its development has become the practical way for china's urbanization.Aiming at the feature and request of small town's development , the paper introduced the urban-design-theory to it. Through analyzing and applying the relevant theory , method , practical experience of urban construction from home and abroad , the paper regarded the space environment of the small town as its research key and carried forward the methods, the principles and the content for small town's urban design. Hoped to create a fine living environment for residents by constructing of the space environment of small town, enable people to enjoy comfort and convenience in their life ,in their working and in their study. Tried to improve their cultural standard by affecting the country people's material and spiritual life ,The thesis is divided into six parts :Part one: Have expounded the international background for development of small town and expounded realistic meaning for attaching importance to the of development of small town;Part two: Have elaborated the development of urban design thoughts and the origin of the main theory at all times and all over the world;Part three differentiate and analyze the concepts of the urban design and small town. Have summarized the definination of small town's urban design andunderstanding of its meaning;Part four: Have classified the content and types of small town's urban design,and described the main principles for small town's urban design;Part five: Explained the influential factors in small town's urban design and explained the method and content of designing of skyline and both on square and street in detail, two basic space configuriation in space environment.The paper have also described the main environmental elements in the small town- including the virescence, the design of color and the street facilities.Part six: is the conclusion.
