This is a research with the property of electronic locomotive electronic control cabinet. The main theme includes the basic technology method and fundamentals of electronic control cabinet monitor and diagnose. With the embedded technology and hierarchy module design method, an electronic control cabinet real-time condition monitor diagnose system is primarily formed.After the further study of the constitution and operation fundamentals, and analyzing different kinds of signals collected from plugs, the technology scheme is ascertained. Based on Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method, it divides most parts into several functional units'according to the flow of current and voltage of each motor that response to the driver's order. And it takes fault as example in part 2.The main frame adopts hierarchy module and parallel operation design method. The top grade unit carries on the expert system database and logic disposal. The data communication with the bottom grade unit adopts the double-port-RAM. In order to correspondence with the maintenance center, an interface of embedded Ethernet is designed. The bottom grade MCUs accomplish different data sample according to the top grade command for analyzing, and also take charge of CAN bus correspondence in locomotives. Some of the function units can't be set up math model because of the lack of signal collection. It can't be satisfied by traditional point by point fault diagnose method. So it takes research on the expert system.After designed the hardware, the author programs bottom data collection grade program for MCU. And it gives detail explain for key problems. It uses BC++3.1 to develop application program on the DOS 5.0 operation system. It finishes self checking program, Ethernet correspondence program and programs fault diagnose expert system program based on the expert system theory. It realizes the intellectual of expert system.At the end of this paper, the conclusion is given, and also some suggestions and future works.
