Aiming at the deficiency in current locomotive electronic control cabinet diagnosis methods, based on the information fusion technology and virtual instrument technology, the thesis has made initial investigation in locomotive electronic cabinet fault diagnosis, and formed a locomotive electronic cabinet fault diagnosis expert system based on data acquisition card and virtual instrument.After deep studies and researches on the composition and the working principle of locomotive electronic control cabinet, the author has analyzed the common fault phenomena and fault formation mechanism of the electronic control cabinet, determined the status signals which should be gathered for fault diagnosis, established the general framework of electronic cabinet fault diagnosis based on theoretical basis of information fusion technology, and conducted sample analysis on electronic cabinet status with gray relational theory to verify its feasibility.Based on the characteristics of acquired signals, the thesis has built the hardware platform composed of signal conditioning circuit, data acquisition card and industry control computer; combining with virtual instrument technology, the author has completed development of application software on the software development platform of LabWindows/CVI, and realized the data collection, analysis and display in the course of fault diagnosis. And meanwhile, the thesis has also introduced the development of electronic cabinet fault diagnosis expert system. The system has created the expert system repository with the information fusion technology, and realized the acquisition of diagnosis knowledge and ensured the knowledge consistency and completeness.
