The electronic cabinet is the core control device of the SS4 modified electric locomotive, the fault of which will cause deviant operation of electric locomotive, therefore, it is of great significance to make sure the electronic cabinet works normally for the safe operation of electric locomotive.Regarding the TPZ27 electronic cabinet as object of research, the theisis analyses its principle and the control process of the closed-loop speed regulation system that is composed of the cabinet and the main circuit of electric locomotive in tractive situation, researches and realizes the fault test system of the TPZ27 electronic cabinet of the SS4 modified locomotive based on expert system through combining the fault tree analysis theory.The system builds the knowledge base and establishes the search strategy on the basis of the fault tree of electronic cabinet, solving the bottleneck of knowledge acquisition, figuring the problem-solving strategy of the system visually. The object oriented representation is adopted for the knowledge, which makes the knowledge base have well structure that is easy for system transplantation by packing the attribute and data processing method in the structure of objects. According to different situations, the minimum cut and width priority + feedback search strategies are designed. The test scheme of the system includes entire-cabinet test and single-board test. In consideration of the one-sidedness of the previous entire-cabinet open-loop test, the system builds the mathematical model of the main circuit of electric locomotive by software, realizes the closed-loop test of electronic cabinet by simulating the work environment of electronic cabinet. A test-point flow is designed in single-board test after analysis of function and structure of the circuit board for finding out exact failed modules, then guiding maintenance of the circuit board.The hardware platform of the system is designed with the idea of modularization, which facilitates the design and maintenance of the system. The software is compiled by C++ Builder, and Measurement Studio saddlebag of NI Company is introduced for friendly interface. The multithreading method is adopted, which improves efficiency of the system.The test system combines advanced fault diagnosis methods and industrial microcomputer control technology. The system has been applied in Hudong locomotive depot of Taiyuan railway office. Practice proves that the system is of steady performance, easy operation, quick and accurate test effect, and mades contributions to safe operation of SS4 modified locomotive.
