The railroad is important infrastructure in our country, and is playing the backbone role in the synthesis transportation system. Since the reform and open policy, our country railroad has obtained the rapid development, but still cannot adapt the requirement of the national economy and the society development;especially the major and medium interurban passenger transportation capacity is lacking. In 2004 "middle and Long-term Railway network Plan" was passed and carried into execution, according to the "middle long-term railway network plan", should develop special line for passenger traffic in the major and medium city, in the dense population area should develop intercity special line for passenger, as soon as possible construct the fast passenger transportation net which cover with the main city.Owing to biggish difference which is compared to existing railway have been existed, including management mod, the targeted speed, the line condition, each kind of equipment and its overhaul, therefore adopt the existing railway system theory which has been existed study the special line for passenger traffic is not suitable, specially work out train diagram which is correlative with transportation organization. So, it is required to the development of railway and organizing theory, it has very important realistic meaning and theoretical value on the period of the some special line for passenger traffic begin constructingThis paper primarily make use of qualitative analysis and the quantitative evaluation, the fundamental research and the computer simulation unify the research technique, sum up current the domestic and foreign research results, using mathematical model and the software for the computer work out train diagram ,the paper researches influence factor of working out train diagram , the carrying capacity of special line for passenger traffic, the problem of the train diagram link with existing railway, optimize train-set scheduling, and the mod of train diagram management and working out.
