With high-speed development of the modern industry, many new demands are put forward to the hydraulic system. System is not only towards high pressure and large power, but also more important demands are brought forward to dynamic characteristic and noise of the system. Electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump has many virtues, such as saving energy lower noise and advanced control technology, it is widely applied in plastic injection molding machine. Meanwhile, electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump is as one of the most important components in hydraulic system, its development straightly influents on the progress of the hydraulic, so it is important to study it. For the moment, there are many methods to study the electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump;computer simulation is a more direct one. It can give guidance to the designer and save a lot of time and sources, which has important effect on research and application of the piston pump. The electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump made in Bangzhu Corporation in ChongQing is regarded as the studying object in this paper. Firstly, components in control system are modeled. Pressure control mathematical model and flow control mathematical model of the system are set up on the basis of component mathematical model. Secondly, M file is carried out in MATLAB and system control diagram is described in the Simulink, and runs under the step signal. Simulation results of the system were analyzed, getting advantage and disadvantage of the system response. By changing the parameters of the components in the system;the better results of the system response were got. At last, experiments about the electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump are processed, in the same input circumstance got the simulation curves and experimental curves, compared with two curves we got the conclusions that rise time and adjust time is shorter than simulationresults, stable pressure is basically same. The main reason lies in experiment that every component has a little response time, but simulation is idealization. Generally speaking, the results of two methods are tenable in the range that the error allows.Dynamic responses of the electro-hydraulic proportional variable piston pump are tested through the simulation and experiment, which offers theoretical foundations of the following design and reform.
