Distribution automation is to utilize modern electronic technology,communication, computer to combine with network technology and electricapparatus, distribution network monitoring, protection, control, measure and supplypower working management of department merge together organic in case of normaland accident, improve power supply quality, establish responsible relation more withuser, meet user variety of requirement at rational price, strive to make and supplypower economy best, business administration is more effective. The communicationnetwork is essential as an automatic component of distribution, its stability, anddependability involve directly whether the automated system of the distributioncould run normally. Communication way and network structure adopted are decidedby characteristic and requiring with automatic distribution in the communicationnetwork.. The characteristic of automated system communication of the existingdistribution is as follows, 1, the terminal nodal quantity is large. 2nd, the distance ofcommunication is short. 3rd, communication data amount are few. So build andpropose the following requirement to the communication network of distribution:higher operation dependability;lower construction investment;stronger expansion;the real-time character of communication;two-way communication capacity;losingelectrical power and communication capacity of hour of trouble.
