Study On The Synthetic Harness Project Of The Mainstream Of Xiaoqing River In Jinan City

Jinan is famous as "city of fountains" and "capital of fountains" because of hundreds of fountains in the city. Spring from fountains forms streams and lakes, then influxes into Xiaoqing River in the end. As the only waterway to the sea, Xiaoqing River is important for flood control in the spacious catchments including Jinan, Zhangqiu and Licheng, etc. It is also one symbol of Jinan's culture. For a long time, Xiaoqing River has been faced with problems including low standard of flood control, severe water pollution, poor circumstance, limited flushing capacity of branches in urban area; not enough area and confusion bureaucracy in urban water management.Based on the strategic scheme of Jinan city, aiming at "realizing a new stride, building a new City of Fountains", chief scheme of the harness of Xiaoqing river was put forward. On the basis of improving the flood control standard, systematical father the flood control with pollution control, supplying high quality clear water for the Transferring Water from South China to North China Project and Transferring Water from West to East Project, developing fishing and touring. By means of engineering projects and non-project method, refresh and improve the original function of Xiaoqing River, realize the strategic scheme of Jinan city were also schemed.The systematical harness project of the mainstream of Xiaoqing River includes four parts, flood control project, water pollution control project, river ecological touring project and touring waterway project. According to the flood control scheme, the flood control standard was schemed to "resist a flood of one hundred years". The operation scheme when flood comes may be " blocking in the Upper River, detention in the middle river and flushing in the lower river".Because of the narrow long mainstream and complex flood constitute, operation of flood control in Xiaoqing River shall be a systematical project.
