This thesis discusses the achievements in the theory, method and application of short-term optimal operation of water resources systems, and discusses deeply the correlative methods to short-term optimal operation of hydro plant and reservoir associated under electricity price of peak-and-valley with the project "Combined operation of QingJiang cascading hydropower system". It reviews the past achievements in theory, method and application of optimal dispatching of water resources systems. It describes of our country current situation of electricity price of peak-and-valley , and directs of our country power shortage , bad heavy of electricity price consumption of peak-and-valley, low of load utilization ratio subject matter against, and put forwards some reform suggestions, such as, widens electricity price of peak-and-valley differential , irritates user move peak fill out valley and makes reasonable timesharing system. And it discusses dividing and relevant computing technologies of period of the sales rate of electricity price of peak-and-valley. It studies the mathematics model of short-term optimal scheduling to hydropower plant, on the basis of considering electricity price of peak-and-valley, the characteristic operated actually to the cascade reservoir, proceed from cascade-dispatching' s system oneself of the step mainly, and sets up two optimal models, "maximum profit model of generate electricity"and "minimum water-consumption model", It analyses the goal function and the restraining terms to model, derives the optimum terms of the minimum water-consumption model, and verifies the exactness of the optimum condition from different sides. It analyses the real data of QingJiang scheduling system, and recommends the mainly algorithm of progressive optimality algorithm (POA ) of short-term optimal scheduling, and calculates the two differentiate models mentioned above combined the QingJiang project, and compares the calculated result of optimal calculation and traditional calculation. The results indicate the optimal model have higher using-value in promoting security of network system, improving generate electricity benefit of enterprise, and utilizing rationally water resource relative tradition model. And the result has successfully applied in the Digital Qingjiang project. In the end, it summaries the work and gives the directions in the further research.
