During the recent years, with the fast development of computer technology and network technology and database technology, it is these necessary supportive technologies that make the remote supervising of the Cascade Hydropower Stations not a far-reaching dream, which can send the information to the engineer at the remote control station who can see and control the process that were traditionally only seen and controlled by the local working engineering to realize the real-time supervising. The remote supervising system of the Cascade Hydropower Stations based on WEB corresponds by network and uses WEB as its corresponding platform to realize remote monitoring and control to the hydro-units. This system is meaningful to lower the running fees and to lower the unnecessary losses and also to boost the productivity of the Cascade Hydropower Stations.The contents, the remote monitoring and control system of the Cascade Hydropower Stations, which were researched in this thesis, include the following three parts: the structure of the system, the dynamic accessing methods of the database and the security of the system. The thesis analyzed thoroughly that how to manage to accomplish the remote monitoring system of the Cascade Hydropower Stations with the technologies said above. The chapters are scheduled as follows:Firstly, it is a brief introduction of the history of remote monitoring and control, which set forth the development and the structural traits of remote monitoring and control system and analyzed both strong points and weak points of B/S (Browser/Server) and C/S (Client/Server) modes. Based on what have said above, I brought forward the B/W/S (Browser/WEB/Server) mode for the remote monitoring and control system of the Cascade Hydropower Stations.Secondly, it discussed several techniques for dynamic accessing data from WEB database. By comparing these methods, it comes to the conclusion that it would be easier and efficient and strong to be carried out with the method of ADO of ASP technique.Furthermore, it analyzed thoroughly the fields, which were critical to the system security, for example, the security of access network, WEB database, software system, operating system and ASP etc. And at last it put forward the corresponding countermeasure. In the last part, it introduced the necessary hardware andsoftware and managed to accomplish the system according to the real condition of the Cascade Hydropower Stations, realized the convenient query and remote login and to access the data from database.Apart from what have been discussed above, it analysed and devised the network topology and the softwears and the hardwears of the whole system. And then combining with the real condition of the HeiHe drainage basin, it realized the convenient enquiry and login and the operation to the system.In the end, it made a summary to what I have done in the whole thesis and put forward prospect to the development of the remote monitoring and control technology.
