The Research Of The Settlements For "Guan Cheng" Along The Great Wall In JiZhen Area Of Ming Dynasty

Working as the protection of capital, the Great Wall in JiZhen area of Mingdynasty has been distributed with plenty of Guankou & Guancheng. As one of thepeculiar forms of the military settlements, they have not yet gained sufficient regardand protection. Today, during the very act of large-scale townish constructions, thesecultural relics full of rare architecture culture history are facing the danger ofdesegregation. Thereout, this thesis bases with the research of Guancheng & Guanbao,and attempts to excavate its connotations from the point of view of architecture.Firstly, the thesis introduces the defensive systems of the Great Wall and thehistory of the Great Wall in JiZhen of Ming Dynasty. Secondly, it chooseswell-reserved and representative Guancheng as the emphases for research. Relying onlots of autoptical materials, it compares and classifies these castles with theirlocations , then summarizes the elementary characters. On the foundation of above all,the scrap emphasizes the ecologic and defensive characters. It opens out the intensivecharm of Guancheng Bao Zhai from the point of view of locations, inner structuresand details respectively. Finally, it discusses the issue of Guancheng Bao Zhai'sprotection and exploitation tentatively.As a whole after, via the research and analysis of Guancheng Bao Zhai along theGreat Wall of Ming Dynasty, this thesis attempts to put it into the whole frame of thesettlements development in China, annotates the Great Wall from the aspect ofarchitecture and enriches the research of the subject of the Great Wall.
