The first new-type turbine unit (K156) was designed and manufactured by the Shanghai turbine Ltd, which was ordered by the Ningxia Zhongning power Ltd. Company, and the unit is adopted longer motion blade with 1050mm to the last stage for 330MW turbine in China. After having been finished the installation of the unit, the Ningxia Zhongning power Ltd. company must concern about the thermodynamic performance, the character of energy consumption and the effectiveness of the unit.Therefore, it has an important application significance to increase the operation economy and operation reliability of the turbine for experimential investigation on the thermodynamic performance of the 330MW turbine unit in this paper.Firstly, the experiment items and method, the theory to calculate and revise experimental data were analized and decided, and then, the parameter test ports and mothed were confirmed, based on these, the multi-items performance experiment were carried out, in the end, according to the experimental results, the problems of the thermodynamic system for the unit were analyzed, and the revisied measures were put forward in the paper.The study results show that the experimental method is feasible, the mothed to calculate and revise data is right and the test ports are disposed rationally. The experimental results turn out the unit (K156) could achieve the design index for the Ningxia Zhongning power Ltd. company. The heat energy consumption of turbine is 8339kJ/(kW.h) at the design rated load (THA) 330MW. The heat consumption of turbine is 8167kJ/(kW.h) after revising at the condition of the whole opening four valves (4VWO). At the rated load, the efficiency of high-pressure cylinder is 81.64%, and the efficiency of the middle and lower pressure cylinder is 90.53%.The study also shows that the unidentified steam leak quantity is not exceeded to 0.3% of the main steam flow after the system is isolated. So the steam leak of the thermal system is little, and the system is sealed well. In the whole system, the inner leak system is occurred to the lower pressure bypass system, this will directly cause the high quality reheated steam to reach to condenser, meanwhile increase the heat load of condenser, and the economy benefit of the unit will decreased.
