Battery is a kind of power supply,by turning on electricity to output electric power and by electricizing to absorb or renew electric power, if maintenancing and managing to the battery is not appropriate, t will directly affect the usage performance and life spans of the battery, even damage the storage battery and it will cause the safe trouble under serious circumstance, y the battery parameter of the on-line monitor, n understand the work appearance, the work characteristic of the battery and the maintenance circumstance of the batteries in time, as a result researching an on-line monitor system of battery go necessarily.CAN-bus only defines the physics layer and the data link layers, doesn't the application layer and it is not complete, needs a high layer protocol to define the 11/29 identifier and the usage of 8 bytes in CAN message. Acording to the automatization application based on CAN-bus, it more and more needs the high layer protocol: this protocol supports various factory's equipments of CAN and implements compatibility with each other, can provide the standard in the CAN-bus, the united system communication mode and function description method of the equipments, can carry out the network management function.The protocol of CANopen is one of the definite standards of CAN-in-Automation( CiA), and acquired the extensive acknowledgement soon after release. In Europe particularly, the CANopen protocol is deemed to leading the position in the industry system based on CAN-bus. Depending on the support of protocol of CANopen, it can configure the various factory's equipments by the bus.On the base of discussing the CAN-bus and CANopen, this paper introduced the hardware circuit framework of the monitor module, and then, focused on the software design, including the automatic monitoring of CAN-bus bit-rate, the initialization of CAN controller, the transmission , abort transmission and reception of messages.This system is a new on-line monitor system. It is consisted of a master station, which is a computer with intelligent CAN-bus interface unit, and a slave station, which is a monitor module for battery parameter measure.The whole program is compiled by VC++6.0 in the centralized monitor station including the data traffic, data processing and the person-machine interface to hand over with each other. The monitor station sends out the "the long-distance frame" to obtain dynamically an information of monitor module for battery in the each bus and monitors the battery equipments in good time.
