| Product design is the key of manufacturing. Design information is one of the most wanted aspects in product design. As the development of Information Technology which is represented by the Internet, those traditional and simplified design fashion no longer suffice the varied demand of fast development of product design. Consequently, Computer Aided Industrial Design based on the Internet has become among most important researches in the field of Industrial Design.On the fundamental of Design Research, Case Based Reasoning (CBR) and related theories, the thesis imported Active Web Pages, Network Database and Virtual Reality to the application of product design information. The key technologies of network application of product design information are issued. A corresponding prototype system was developed. The main work in this thesis includes the following aspects.1. Combining the characteristic of network technology, the critical problems and the key technologies in network application of product design information were addressed on the fundamental of analysis and comparison of product design information.2. Aiming at the design and the publication of user demand questionnaire and the statistics and analysis of investigation result, the key technologies of user demand acquisition based on the network was proposed. Typically the characteristics and the classification of user demand information were analyzed. The user demand questions database and questionnaire template database were constructed with CBR and Relational Data Model (RDM) theories.3. The key technologies of network presentation of product design instances were studied with the integration of network virtual reality. The product design instances database was built using Cult3D and Network Database technology.4. The Network Application System of Product Design Information was constructed with the key technologies. The feasibility of the key technologies and the prototype system are validated by the application of instances.
