| Urban passenger terminals is the core of the comprehensive city transportation system . Its construction is very important in perfecting the urban traffic system .Doing rational planning and designing to some extent can effectively resolve the problem of inefficiency and congestion in our urban traffic system.This paper, aiming at resolving the deficiencies of the comprehensive transportation system in big cities in our country and referring to the advanced experience in the developed countries, studies the joint patterns of a single passenger terminal in a city, and its resource development patterns are also studied in-depth.Firstly, the paper discusses the meaning, system constitution and effect of the urban passenger terminals, and analyses the developmental status and trend of urban passenger terminals in the world. Then the paper classifies the urban passenger terminals rationally, base on this, the reasonable forecasting method that is used in forecasting the range of the influenced area and the reasonable area is brought forward, and the arrangement of the traffic modes in the reasonable area of the terminal is simply summarized. Secondly, by analyzing the impedance of personal trip link and using the method which unifies the Logit model and the capacity limit - increment assignment method, the paper deduces the prediction method used for predicting the total passenger capacity and the transfer structure in the local urban passenger terminal. Regression analysis model and exponential smoothing method are used for passenger capacity prediction in foreign urban passenger terminals. Based on reasonably predicting the capacity of the urban passenger terminal, consulting the correlative standards and profiting from the predecessors' research results, the calculation method of capacity for parking in the terminal is put forward.
