The Research And Application On Product Data Management Based On IMAN

Product Data Management( PDM) is developed on the basis of Engineering Data management, it provides a new platform and integration framework for CIMS. PDM is a new management technology formed in the environment of modern product development, and it is an fundamental technology in the working environment of the enterprise design and production. PDM technology solves the integration of computer islands in an enterprise, and makes the enterprise gain an overall situation excellent. By putting PDM into practice, the development time of product will be cut, the cost of product will decreased, the quality of product will be increased and the service of product will be better than before.This paper aimed at enterprise's abuses——Data-confusision,Revision-mix, Hard-findout etc..the practical problems involved in the information modeling during the implementation of PDM are studied, and three information models: personnel organization info model, product data info model and product structure info model are constructed. The product item forms are defined and the extraction methods of product information in iMAN are studied, a report forms system based on iMAN is developed. Consequently, workflow management is also discussed, and two workflows: permission & release workflow and engineering change workflow are designed in the field of engineering. Then analyze the enterprise total workflow from the horizontal and vertical aspects. Find out the bottlenecks from the workflow, and use permission & release workflow and engineering change workflow to make the enterprise total workflow optimization. At last, this paper introduce the implement of PDM based on iMAN, including its plans, methods and steps, and give partly results after the implement.After the implement, The implementation time of the enterprise similar projects has been shortened by 30% than before. The average of project implementation time reduced two weeks than before ( 15 days ). Significantly enhance efficiency, shorten product develop and design cycles, lower costs and improve the competitiveness.
