| Nowadays, power system harmonic rose year after year. Thereare two causes brought out this situation. Firstly, with the development of high-voltage electronic technology, various industrial consumers used silicon rectification and power inversion. Those power-saving products brought a lot of harmonic from non-liner loads though they highly increased productivity, which distorted the power network and damaged the connected power-consuming equipment. Secondly, the modification function and resonance produced by running power capacitor increased the harmonic at the same time, which worsen the operation environment of itself.It is very important to analyze the reason of harmonic and conduct the valid measure to restrain its affect and guarantee the safely operation of power network. The author has present the point in this paper.Based on the operation characteristic of modern power system, the author described the production and development of network harmonic with the consideration on the same kind of problem. One harmonic analyties deducted txom Matlab FFT was worked out to set Lip analysis system with modern communication network.The paper ticked off a lot of examples on harmonic value of paralleled capacitor in different seasons and operation modes, especially, the modification and resonance from system harmonic because the capacitor put into the network. And the technical measures finalized to treat and restrain harmonic.
