Based on traffic flow which is the most intuitionistic representability, the paper studies how to mearure the direct linkage, the indirect linkage and the absolute linkage between regions through mathematic tools. The in-depth model of linkage intensity is used to solve the problem of region redefination and how to measure the region barriers.Beginning with the base theory of spatial linkage, the paper analyses the function of transportation to spatial linkage and puts forward the traffic flow mode to measure the spatial linkage intensity. The method to select transportation mode is given through theoty analysis and model calculation. The paper analyses the academic connotation and demonstration value of the direct linkage, the indirect linkage and the absolute linkage. Based on the anamnesis of structure model,the spatial linkage intensity measuring model is made through the mathematic tool of input-output analysis. And the deep model is made to solve the problem of region redefination and how to measure the region barriers. In the both models, spatial linkage intensity coefficient is a important parameter.As the example, BEIJING-TIANJIN-HEBEI region is analysed. The spatial linkage intensity coefficients between cities in this region are computed. Based on them ,the region is redefined into close linkage regions and common linkage regions. According to the deep models , The paper calculates the region barriers coefficient between cities in this region and the interprovincial barriers coefficient between, BEIJING TIANJIN and HEBEI. The result shows that the barriers between BEIJING TIANJIN and HEBEI is higher than the barriers between cities in hebei. The compositor of the result is : BEIJING and TIANJIN ,BEIJING and HEBEI,HEBEI and TIANJIN. The paper analyses apocalypse of the all the results from models to the development of the region.
