Risk Assessment On Urban Road Traffic Safety

Road traffic safety is an important component of road traffic system and a topic concerned about worldwidely. Nearly governments of all nations are concerned about road traffic safety management, road traffic safety evaluation is especially important. Evaluation on urban traffic safety is an important stage of the whole traffic management, which plays a role as promoting traffic by appraising. The key to scientific evaluation is to establish a suitable index system and to adopt a reasonable evaluation method.A preliminary research on basic theoretical system of road traffic safety evaluation is studied referring to theoretical practice in industrialized countries and the current domestic road and my some ideas. This paper presents a detailed analysis of the whole current safety situation of urban traffic, and have researched traffic safety system from the 4 factors(Man, Motor vehicles,Road,Management),applying the analytical hierarchical process and the multi-lever comprehensive evaluation method to ascertain the level of the urban road traffic safety, the policy and measures of promoting traffic safety are proposed.The important content is to analysis and distinguish the every factor of road traffic safety system, and ascertain the role. An index system and model is established about the road traffic safety on the characters of domestic road traffic and the principle of the road traffic safety management. Taian city as case to weigh the level of the road traffic safety, the policy and measures of promoting traffic safety of the latent dangers in Tai'an city are proposed.
