Wudalianchi National Park conserves the most typical volcano in china to world, lava in the old and the new, unusual volcanic lakes, well-known volcanic mineral spring and complete volcano geology. However, with the development of tourism, the parks face a tough time at resource conservation. Therefore, it's an urgent task for the parks to improve management ability of natural and civilized resource conservation.Based on the data of Wudalianchi National Park's raster image, planning map, topographic map, forest boundary map, land-use map and all kinds of picture and word information, Wudalianchi National Park's planning and management information system was developed by the support of programming language Visual Basic and GIS OCX MapObjects, which has fine aspect and data management function. The paper elaborates the principle of system design, analyzes system requirement and the feasibility of system foundation, designs the total structure of the system, and describes the process of system data foundation, which can be used as the great reference for other National Park's planning and management information system. The system includes the following modules: data management module, monitor module, landscape analysis module, print output module and complex editor module. It has several basic functions that are figure and image display, information query, statistics analysis, monitor data analysis, data transform to Excel, and system link up Arc View, etc.Based on this system and Wudalianchi National Park's data, the paper computes the landscape diversity indexes, the landscape space indexes and landscape patches indexes of the park, analyzes landscape pattern of the park comprehensively and quantificationally, pointes the status of all kinds of landscape types in the Wudalianchi National Park, specifies optimizing orientation of the park's landscape pattern in the future.The modern management method for the Wudalianchi National Park is provided, which is helpful for the maturity, science, and standard of the park planning, management and decision. It will provide theory and reference for relative research.
