Rapid Process Preparation For Part Based On Feature Module

Facing the rapid response manufacturing of part, this paper presents the concept of feature module. Starting with the research of module feature model, the part process generating and the modular fixture rapid configuring technologies basing on feature module is studied systematically, which support the rapid process preparation.The main content is shown as below:1.Module design method of part basing on feature module is analyzed. The characteristic of feature module process is investigated. Overall procedure of feature module based rapid process preparation is presented.2.According to the characteristics of feature based rapid process preparation, the represent methods of module feature is analyzed. The design feature model, manufacture feature model, fixture feature model of module and part are built and the relations among them are also created. The extracting methods of module feature are also studied.3.Rapid process planning method basing on feature module is proposed. The process models of module and part are constructed. The transverse, longitudinal and oblique extending, merging and optimizing methods of module process are developed.4.Modularization and serialization of fixture are studied. Rapid configuration method of modularization fixture based on feature module is elaborated.5.A prototype system of feature module based rapid process preparation is designed and developed, providing a supporting platform for rapid process preparation.
