| Helmet Mounted Sight is a kind of sighting device installed on pilot's helmet.It can rotate with the pilot's' head , the measuring device can measure the ! angular coordinate which aim at the line in any time . It is a kind of wearing sighting device that people can be easy to use , can aim rapidly and fully play the role of people. When the plane attacked something, the pilot can follow targets by turning head, according to helmet sign of aiming that the sighting device shows ,until the radar and guided missile capture the goal, these are advantages of sighting device of helmets.This text has analysed and researched the measuring of this system because of the advantages. According to the detection method , it has designed a set of detection systems of photoelectric helmet sighting device. The system designed according to the structure of some type of Helmet Mounted Sighting can check and transfer the Helmet Mounted Sight as the datum . The practice proves the detection system meets fully the requirement in technology the HMS measures .Regard deserving the detection system as the standard ,we adjust the scanning part of HMS, the helmet observing device etc and improve the precision of localization to the HMS device apparently. The text provides the system of coordinates , head position , detection method of the whole information ,study the main factor of influencing the precision of the HMSsame and provide its error margin mathematics model. In the end. it has evaluated the practical result.
