With the end of the Cold War, the arms race between countries has opened anew chapter. The modern wars are rapidly moving forward to high-tech and digitaltechnology. War is bound to change the form of weapons, equipment and operatingpersonnel, so the HCI research between operating personnel and weaponry appearsto be an important issue. This project on the one hand designs the modeling of thehelmet and aiming style of the helmet-mounted sight system of gunship based onergonomics, which aims at improving the safety of the flight; on the other hand, theinterface of the system is designed aimed at enhancing the efficiency of interactionand the optimizing function of the system.Combined military design process and interaction design guidelines, the designprocess of this project is established, and according to the process the design workis conducted. The impacts of the helmet-mounted system on the operation and pilotsare studied, and with this study, some schemes of helmet modeling and are aimingstyle are brought out. Besides, the field of vis ion is divided in accordance withfeatures of vision system. The schemes are integrated and the sketches are made bysome software.The information priority is determined through researching some displayedhelicopter flight information. Based on the theory of ergonomics and interactiondesign guidelines, the character information, graphic logo, interface layout,interface color, warning tone are designed. Make the design results meet therequirements of the helmet-mounted system and pilots.The flight is divided into five states to study different displayed flight statusinformation and classified designs. Based on Interface design guidelines, thegraphic and digital design of necessary information, five kinds of flight statusinformation and alarm information are conducted. The five kinds of flight statusinteractive interface design are completed using the appropriate graphics productionsoftware.Five kinds of flight status interaction process are made, and based on theprocess, demonstration animation are made. The dynamic demonstration is produced by some software. The presentation materials inc lude pictures, audios andscripts. Fina lly, the design results are integrated and five active demonstrationanimation and one control demonstration animation are made by video software,and the dynamic demonstration of helmet-mounted interface is finished.
