With the development of national economy and the increase of social demand, the power became the more important foundation of national economy, and affect Society and economic life. Therefore all kinds of users set a higher request to the electrical power system. As a part of power system, distribution system plays a important part between power production and power consumption. The statistics show that more than 80% letting off customer is leaded by distribution network fault. More and more attention and regard are paid to the reliability of distribution system. So further research on this field is not only very important in theory ,but also in practice. Main purpose of this thesis is to study the evaluation of the reliability of distribution network. Several methods for distribution system reliability analysis are introduced. There are probability distribution method, failure mode and effect Analysis method and minimal path method. Evaluation reliability of a complex distribution network is given. The idea of improving customer reliability by network reconfiguration is proposed in the thesis, and the corresponding mathematical model is constituted.(1) Evaluation reliability of a complex distribution networkA practical distribution system usually consists of main feeder and some subfeeders, which is relatively complex and impossible to directly get the reliability indices of each load point. So first delaminate the network according to the relation of connection between feeders and subfeeders, and then change the affection of subfeeder to superior feeder with successive network equivalents for equivalent lateral sections. Using this method to equivalent from the bottom to the main feeder step by step, a complex network with subfeeders is reduced to a simple radiate distribution system. A Tree configuration is a hiberarchy, which resembles the distribution network in the aspect of structure.
