Nowadays, because of the advantage in the real-time simulation and the authenticity of the result, semi-physical simulation has been applied to many fields widely. The simulation for the avionic system and devices is an important branch of the semi-physical simulation.Most of the current semi-physical simulators of the avionic system consist of special software and hardware, which results in the necessity to develop simulators independently for different avionic devices. Simultaneously, according to the requirement of the software engineering, software must need to be strictly tested after developed or modified. This will consume much energy and time, and makes the software hard to be maintained. A certain institute wants to develop a universal semi-physical simulator for certain avionic system. Based on this background, this paper discusses the analysis, modeling, design and implementation of the universal semi-physical simulator detailedly.The simulator, developed by this paper, has some outstanding characteristics to be described as follows. Firstly, the simulator adopts the semi-physical simulation technology, which makes the results more credible. Secondly, the simulation platform and the model of the object are designed independently, assuring that the simulator is universal and the modeling is flexible. Thirdly, the simulator can work dynamicly in the static environment, because it can get the real-time flight data generated by the Flsim Computor, via the enthernet. The simulator will send the data to the other avionic devices after processing them.According to the design requirements, the design of the hardware of the simulator has been completed. This paper studies the design documents of the avionic system detailedly, including the Interface Control Document and Detailed Design Requirements, and summarizes the data structures and the communication formats of the system, and designs the simulation database. This paper also studies some protocols such as GJB289A, ARINC429 and UDP etc,and then determines the methods of data processing.
