Ultrasonic testing is a very important method of NDT(Non-destructive Testing). It has been widely used to control the quality of on-line product, and to inspect equipments and some important parts used. The research of the digital ultrasonic testing has become inevitable trend in world. The hardware of this topic is divided into two parts: the supersonic examination module and the data acquisition module. Among them, the supersonic examination module is designed on the pulse reflection type supersonic examination principle foundation, including supersonic transmission circuit, damped limiter circuit, high-frequency amplification electric circuit, band-pass circuit and so on. And in this foundation, the simulation echo voltage signal is transformed to the digital signal through the data acquisition module, carried on certain processing through the data buffer storage by the MCU, and transmitted to the PC to carry on the result demonstration, memory, or further digitized processing. And also the transmission circuit, the high-frequency amplification electric circuit, and the band-pass circuit are controlled entirely digitized by the MCU. The saving problem and the intuitionistic result of traditional ultrasonic testing is solved, and some infection factors of handlers are reduced, and testing reliability is improved. The application of software is developed by Visual C++6. 0 and composed of main window, serial communication module, curve displaying module and digital signal processing module. The three function module are packaged in DLL respectively. This construction is convenient to maintain and upgrade. The application can run in the operating system of Windows. The menu command is adopted in the software. The ratio of signal-to-noise is raised and the system reliability is improved by using the digital signal processing technology.
