According to the all kinds of parameters of vehicle and preinstalled shift schedules, with the help of actuators, Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT) which electric control system is added on original mechanical transmission mechanism can realize shift automatically.Data acquisition analysis and failure diagnosis system is an important part in AMT project. According to theories and the parameters measured, driver's purpose, current states of vehicle and road conditions can be reasoned. By analyzing data measured, the software can give performance indexes. This will contribute to improve performances of system in developing process. The failure diagnosis software can give the failure of AMT, failure code. This is useful to its maintenance.The whole system contains two parts: TCU unit which contains MC9S12C32 and it's outer circuit is used for data acquisition; software in a PC installed LabVIEW is used for data analysis and failure diagnosis. The two parts connect each other through serial interface. General scheme is given in this thesis. The hardware and software of TCU and software of PC are discussed in detail. Considering actual requirement, failure detect system is designed. The hardware of system is simple, the function of software is complete. Using LabVIEW, the data rule and failure can be given easily.
