Renewal Of Old Residential Areas Based On The Theory Of Healthy City

On the background of rapid urbanization, healthy and secure problems of old resident areas become more serious.It is very necessary to introduce the theroy of Healthy City put forword by World Health Organization to instructing the current renewal of old residential areas in China .This thesis analyzes the essential intension of Healthy City, expounds the correlative theory of Healthy Urban Planning, investigates the instructions in principle on residential areas'planning with the theory of Healthy Urban Planning, and then analyzes and evaluates unhealthy problems of present old residential areas in our courtry. On this basis the thesis puts forword corresponding planning suggestions on the renewal of old residential areas from two aspect of spatial planning and neibourhood planning. At last it takes example by the renewal of Nanhu residential areas in Nanjing, and investigates and analyzes the healthy conditions after the renewal with the theory of Healthy Urban Planning.The thesis includes six parts. As follows:The first chapter introducts the origin and development of Healthy City Movement, and definites and analyzes the theoretic foundation and conception of Healthy City .The second chapter sets forth the relationship of Healthy City and urban planning , puts forward the central objectives of Healthy Urban Planning, and researchs the correlative theory of Healthy Urban Planning.The third chapter explains correlative instructional principles which are known for the application of Healthy City to rensidential planning.The forth chapter analyzes the current problems of the old residential areas which includes both those of material space and those of immaterial space such as cultural, social and economical problems based on the instructional principles of Healthy City.The fifth chapter puts forword renewal strategies of old residential areas with the theoretic instructions of Healthy City, which includes two parts of spacial planning and neighbourhood planning.The last chapter makes Nanhu residential area in Nanjing as one example, and analyzes it with correlative instructional principles of Healthy Urban Planning.
