The Study Of Urban Spatial Expansion

With the acceleration of urbanization .Chinese cities generally confront the conflicts of the rapidly spatial expansion and the limited land resources. The mode of urban development measured by economical benefit and national GDP has to some extent brought about disorders and chaos in spatial expansion, which lead to sharp increase in the cost of urban development. Faced by the reality & demand of continuous spatial expansion, it is crucial for us to figure out how to guide, control & manage the development of urban space.Firstly, based on the summary of concept, theory, model and rule of urban spatial expansion, this paper focus on analyzing the urban spatial expansion mechanism in the contrasting field of internal & external, benefit & cost, assemble & scattering, impetus & constraint. Retrospect to the history of urban spatial expansion; point out the existence of trend and questions. Lastly, try to explore the planning solution, namely, analyzed the requirement and supply of the urban spatial expansion, and try to establish the suitability evaluation frame of the urban spatial expansion's condition. From Zoology factor, physical geography factor, land using factor, region effect factor, establishment factor, the stretch of urban spatial structure factor, historical and civilization resource factor seven aspect, establish the suitability evaluation frame of the urban spatial expansion's condition. Based on the case of Xuzhou and Liyang, provide the author's opinion on urban spatial expansion.
