Research On Point-axis Model Of Urban Spatial Expansion

The point-axis model of urban spatial expansion is one of the basic growth methods of modern cities . In the process of city expansion to outside , stress the nurture of growth points and growth axis, and to maintain a certain ecological isolation between the growth point .It reflects the intensive and clearance spatial development concept, which is a sustainable development strategy model. How the point-axis model of urban spatial expansion growth, and how to construct a reasonable point-axis model? This is the starting point of this study and purpose. By deeply analyze the content and significance of point-axis model of urban spatial expansion, the study try to explore and establish the point-axis model of urban spatial expansion theoretical system, and frame a clear concise research framework, in order to provide a theoretical basis for the specific applications of the point-axis model. And explore the reasonable construction ways to optimize the layout of the urban spatial. The main contents of this study can be divided into four parts.The first part is demonstrating the feasibility of the point-axis model of urban spatial expansion. By both theoretical and empirical analyze, prove the existence of point-axis model in urban spatial expansion. Putting the construction methods of point-axis model of urban spatial expansion which raised in this study into the practice of concept plan for long-term perspective of Jinzhou development chain in Changsha, so as to establish the organic growth structure model, and optimize the layout and structure of urban space in Changsha.
