In this dissertation, we research on the controlling and measuring technology of highway tunnel lighting, illuminometer, luminometer and an auto-control system were developed. The principle of luminance and illuminance measurement and the architecture of luminometer and illuminometer were analyzed systematically. In the testing experiments conducted by the Inspection and quarantine of the Peoples Republic of China, the samples of instruments performed very well. By now many products have been sold. The hardware and software of auto-control system was designed successfully based on the requirement of tunnel lighting control. The main work of this dissertation:1. Mathematic models of cosine correction and optical cover of photodetector were constructed. The optical and mechanical parts of illuminometer were designed and optimized.2. The characteristics of the output signal of photodetector were analyzed. After the design of mathematical model of circuit, the signal process circuit was designed and optimized and the function of the circuit was evaluated by experiments.3. According to the requirement of luminance measurement, the model of optical system was constructed and the optical and mechanical parts of illuminometer were designed.4. The circuit of luminometer was restructured for the purpose of luminance measurement.5. The illuminometer and luminometer were assembled and optimized by using the testing result of the Inspection and quarantine of the Peoples Republic of China.6. The technology of tunnel lighting control based on PLC was discussed, and the hardware and software of control system was designed.
