The Training Simulation System for Substation (TSSS) is a powerful tool in training operators of the substation, improving their ability of judgment and disposal in emergency. In order to simulate the environment of monitor room of substation, an interface switcher connected full-scale platform with simulation platform based on ARM is designed especially in this paper.The Ethernet communication which is widely use is applied in the paper, in order to realize information exchange between full-scale platform and simulation platform.μC/OS-Ⅱand TCP/IP protocol stack are transplanted to ARM so that the interface has the capability of multitasking and communicating with the Ethernet directly. After analyzing the characters of on-off input flow, on-off output flow, analog output flow and protection flow, some methods reducing information exchanges and compressing the data are put forward so that Ethernet channel can be expedite.In order to simulate microprocessor-based protection effectively, the switcher has two interfaces of microprocessor-based protection control panels which control the LCD and keyboard. Scan mechanism and multitasking idea are adopted in software.Interface switcher designed in the paper become the basic of constructing distributed Training Simulation System for Substation which has microprocessor-based protection function. It will play an important role in the Training Simulation System for Substation in the future.
