There is a difficult problem in existence for many years in low volt power system that destroy of fault stress by excessive electric current to the power source system coming with the short circuit or grounding failure and at the same time, the breakers switch off all the circuit without selectivity result in power loss in large area. The problem can be solved by the development of technology of computer, network and field bus. The technology of ethernet provids a fast, open and useful method for solving the problem. This thesis introduces the technology of fast ethernet and TCP/IP protocol and the virtue of the application. Some key questions are also discussed. Some representative questions in the industrial ethernet all over the world are discussed. With the employment of embedded technology, the creative idea was brought forward of implement of ZSI (Zone Selective Interlock) in low volt power system with fast ethernet and TCP/IP protocol. This thesis introduces the design and the task of the experiment system, and bring forword the system structure and the protocol in the application layer for the system. According to function of the parts, it also introduces the design of the block of software, implement method and the arithmetic. At the end of the thesis, summarize of the system's characteristic is brought forward.
