Urmotive Orientation-mode Object

The goal of the thesis is searching some component mode of architecture through a new viewpoint.New concept is the basement of new theory. The essay firstly conceives several new concepts, including"Orientation-mode object","Urmotive","Order space"and others, through the phenomenology, psychology and theories of architecture. Then, after analyzing the characters of entity and space in architecture, it brings them into several types based on the new concepts. Additionally, it introduces the constitutional modes of different architecture types under the new system. In the end, taking the first-class prize design of International Competition for Concept Design of Beijing"City Landmark"2008, the thesis presents how to use the new theory to face the design task.Using the"urmotive"orientation-mode object to design architecture can be seen as a new theory of architecture, which is different from both"form follows function"and"function follows form".
