Computer provides an effective approach for analysis of the mechanical dynamics and system simulations technology has also been applied widely in this field. And many difficult problems can be solved by mechanical dynamics. Moreover, the systematic simulation technique has also been widely adopted in the dynamics analysis of mechanical system due to its predominant advantage. The application of virtual prototype technique (in the product research and development), which will optimize design scheme, shorten developing cycle and save developing cost, makes the enterprise competitively. The establishment numerical model, which can reflect the locomotion characteristics of system virtual prototype exactly, is the primary factor for dynamics analysis of mechanical system. For general multi-rigid model system, only the locomotion parameter of the components with large rigidness and regular shape could be represented. When it comes to the model system with high speed and lower rigidness components, the locomotion can not be represented correctly.By using virtual-real modeling, a virtual prototype model to be founded which contained obvious flexible mechanism. According to a real crank-slider mechanism system, a precise rigid-flexible virtual prototype model for crank-slider mechanism is established with CAD software, The Finite Element software. The analysis of kinematical characteristics is also carried out by the virtual-real simulation technology. By combining the physical prototype experiment and virtual prototype model modified by the experimental data, a virtual system simulation model for rigid-flexible crank-slider mechanism is finally derived from. The result shows that the locomotion parameters derived from the virtual prototype system is of good agreement with that of the experimental testing system. This work has offered a feasible approach for establishing and researching the rigid-flexible virtual prototype model, and also founded the elements for establishing more complicated virtual prototype model.
